When they're not sharing their home with guests, Chris and Andrea live on this lovely, private acre in Orleans, MA. As such, this beautiful Cape Cod rental is cared for like a primary residence. Furnished with pieces from Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn, the decor is modern and comfortable. High end appliances, counters and cabinets appoint a fully stocked chef's kitchen. Luxurious memory foam mattresses in each of the three bedrooms ensure a good night's sleep for up to 8 guests.
The owners also offer Xfinity Blast WiFi (105 Mbps), a Sonos sound system that pipes your playlists throughout the house, and Smart HDTVs with access to their personal movie collection. There's even an Xbox One in the kids' bedroom and a Wii in the living room, just in case it rains. Check out the amenities page to see more!
Enjoy views of Pleasant Bay throughout the house. Or walk five minutes down the road to the town landing and see it first hand. The National Seashore is also just a short drive away.
Whether you're cooking on the imported Italian Verona stove, preparing a quick lunch with the panini maker, or blending up a cocktail in the Vitamix, you will appreciate this well stocked kitchen.
Bocce, badminton, gas grill, outdoor seating, a large, open lawn and ocean breezes make for a wonderful end to a day at the beach. A brand new enclosed outdoor shower with dog wash awaits in the backyard.
Cape Cod is blessed with some of the most sublime beaches in the Northeast. Chris and Andrea's personal favorite is scenic Nauset Light Beach along the National Seashore in Eastham. They also love taking their golden retrievers down to Jackknife Beach along the south edge of Pleasant Bay in Chatham for a stroll and a swim. If you're partial to the warmer, gentler water of the bay side, Skaket beach is right nearby in Orleans. The best part? All of these are less than 15 minutes away from the house!

If you're a naturalist or photographer, you'll enjoy an abundance of scenery in Orleans and the surrounding Cape Cod communities (a few of Andrea's snapshots from this year and last above). As you can see, there's great whale and dolphin watching tours that leave daily and you could spend an entire vacation exploring the National Seashore alone. While it's a bit further up the coast (about a 20 minute drive from the house), Coast Guard beach is frequently ranked as a "top 10" beach in the United States... definitely worth a day trip!
A word about wildlife: Chris and Andrea love their dogs, and their dogs love the Cape (Finn and Scout, ears flying in a chilly winter breeze at Nauset Light Beach, pictured above). Pets are welcome, but we do ask that owners use discretion when deciding to bring their furry children along. Renters are liable for any infestation or damage incurred by pets. There will be additional paperwork to sign that will further delineate these conditions.

There is a rich variety of dining options on the Cape. You'll find fresh seafood just about anywhere you stop. Chris and Andrea recommend Rock Harbor Grill in Orleans for an upscale grill experience, Land Ho! is fantastic if you're in the mood for a festively decorated dive with tasty food, or try Del Mar in Chatham if you're keen for something trendier. Of course, you can always buy a bunch of lobsters and have a seafood bake right at the house!
If you're visiting acquaintances with a membership to Eastward Ho, you'll be playing the finest golf course on Cape Cod (in fact, you can see it from the master bedroom balcony across Pleasant Bay). The house is just a few minutes east of Cape Cod National Course Club (another private course). Just beyond that, you'll find the public Port and Starboard links (two courses) at the Captains Golf Course in Harwich.
Chris and Andrea love Orleans, but when it's time to shop, it's hard to beat scenic Main Street in Chatham, just a few minutes down the road. Chatham has an incredible variety of small shops and galleries, and many excellent cafes and restaurants. Provincetown is 40 minutes north of Orleans, and also has innumerable eclectic spots to shop and dine. You can easily lose a whole day there.
